Story Festival 2024: Recycled Kimono Accessories - Saturday

  • 18 May 2024
  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Grace Centre, 11 Ralph Terrace, Rokeby, TAS 7019

Join Yumemi to learn ways to turn your fabric scraps into your very own unique accessories. In this workshop, you will be turning Yumemi's precious recycled kimono offcuts into beautiful wearable pieces which you can take home at the end of the day. Materials and equipment will be provided but do feel free to bring your own beads, threads and other pretty things to use.

You will be able to take home the piece that you make at the workshop.

Yumemi Hiraki is an Australian-based contemporary artist from Hiroshima, Japan. After completing her BFA at the Victorian College of the Arts, specialising in Sculpture and Spatial Practice, she has been active as both an artist and arts worker within Melbourne and Hobart.
